MELOPOD SAFETY

Community Guidelines

Effective: 27 July 2026

Make music. Build people.

Melopod should be a place where artists, learners and fans can create without being harassed, exploited, deceived or unsafe.

1. Respect and personal safety

Do not post, send or encourage:

  • Credible threats, violence or instructions to seriously harm people.
  • Bullying, targeted harassment or degrading attacks.
  • Hate speech targeting protected characteristics.
  • Doxxing or sharing private personal information without permission.
  • Non-consensual intimate content or sexual exploitation.
  • Content promoting self-harm or suicide in a celebratory or instructive way.

Supportive discussion, recovery stories, education and newsworthy discussion may be allowed when presented responsibly.

2. Protecting minors

Sexual content involving minors is strictly prohibited. Do not groom, exploit, sexualise, threaten or solicit minors. Do not ask minors for intimate images, sexual conversation, money, secrecy or unsafe private meetings. Suspected child exploitation may be reported to relevant authorities.

3. Graphic, sexual and dangerous content

  • No pornography or sexual services.
  • No graphic violence posted primarily to shock or glorify harm.
  • No instructions for terrorism, violent crime or dangerous wrongdoing.
  • No sale or promotion of illegal drugs, weapons or stolen goods.
  • No dangerous challenges likely to cause serious injury.

Documentary, educational, artistic or newsworthy material may be restricted, labelled or removed depending on context and risk.

4. Authenticity, spam and manipulation

  • Do not impersonate people, artists, organisations or Melopod staff.
  • Do not run phishing, scams, fake giveaways or fraudulent ticket sales.
  • Do not buy or automate fake followers, likes, votes, streams or comments.
  • Do not send repeated unwanted messages or mass promotions.
  • Clearly disclose significant sponsorships or paid promotions.
  • Do not deceptively alter media to cause serious harm or fraud.

5. Music rights, copyright and privacy

Upload only music, beats, samples, images and videos you created or are authorised to use. Credit does not replace permission. Do not leak unreleased work, private recordings or personal conversations without authorisation.

6. Competitions and creator conduct

  • Follow each competitions eligibility and submission rules.
  • Do not manipulate voting or submit stolen work.
  • Judges and organisers must disclose meaningful conflicts of interest.
  • Prizes and deadlines must not be presented deceptively.

7. Reports, enforcement and appeals

Users can report content or accounts through Melopod Help and any in-platform reporting controls. Depending on severity, Melopod may remove content, limit distribution, disable features, issue a warning, suspend an account or permanently terminate it.

Severe violations may result in immediate action. Repeated smaller violations may also lead to suspension. Users may request a review when they believe enforcement was incorrect.

8. Emergency situations

Melopod support is not an emergency service. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first, then report the relevant account or content to Melopod.
